Everton midfielder James Garner is unlikely to start another game in 2024, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that his rehab has taken longer than expected so it makes sense to be conservative to avoid another injury setback.
There’s also a chance that the 23-year-old could be back in training soon if he isn’t already back.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Garner: “It sounds like he may be returning to grass soon, if he hasn’t already, and overall the rehab process has been longer than expected.
“It’s quite plausible he doesn’t start this month because of how long he’s been out as he will need bounce matches.
“It also makes sense to be conservative with him given how long it’s taken for his rehab.“
James Garner will take time to be back to his best for Everton
The 23-year-old has made just two Premier League starts this season and is severely lacking match sharpness.
It will take him a few games before he’s back at his best and the Toffees will gradually ramp up his minutes off the bench.
Hopefully, for Sean Dyche, Garner manages to hit similar heights as he did last season.
In other Everton news, the club could make two surprise moves in January with Alan Myers issuing a transfer update.
