Rangers attacker Rabbi Matondo is out with a Grade 2 injury in his hamstring, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that he will not be needing surgery after it was revealed by The Daily Record on 3 September that he faces weeks on the sidelines.
The 23-year-old picked up an injury in the 3-0 defeat against Celtic on 1 September.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“He picked up an injury during the Celtic game and seemed bad as he couldn’t carry on.
“This sounds like a Grade 2 out of 4 hamstring injury and will keep him out a few weeks.
“If surgery was needed or being considered, he wouldn’t be a consideration for returning shortly after the break so he will not require anything additional.”
Rabbi Matondo started the season well for Rangers
Despite being linked with an exit over the summer, the Welshman stayed at Ibrox and showcased his worth to the team.
Before the game at Parkhead, the 23-year-old scored two goals and assisted another two in the drubbing of Ross County.
Gers will be hoping that he’s not out for too long as he can make a game-changing impact in the final third for them.
In other Rangers news, a player had doubts before sealing a transfer and a club chief has revealed the true story in a tell-all interview.
