Man United fans have taken to social media to suggest that former manager Erik ten Hag would be a success at Roma after being linked with the job.

The 54-year-old was relieved of his duties at Old Trafford after their 2-1 Premier League loss to West Ham, marking their worst-ever start to a season.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has steadied the ship somewhat, winning three and drawing one of his four games as interim boss, but failed to convince new manager Ruben Amorim to keep him at the club.

A new era has begun, and the highly regarded Amorim is set to take charge of his first game against newly promoted Ipswich Town after the international break.

Ten Hag might not be out of work for long, as he’s already being linked to the Roma job following the club’s decision to dismiss Ivan Juric after just 12 games.

Former Man United manager Erik ten Hag in frame for Roma job

According to Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ten Hag is a front-runner for the job, alongside former Chelsea boss Graham Potter.

Surprised by the news, Man United fans have taken to X, formally known as Twitter, to suggest he may actually be a good appointment.
