Doctor: Rangers star set to be ruled out for weeks with Grade 3 injury, unlikely to need surgery

Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz is unlikely to require surgery after his recent injury setback, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that if all goes per plan, the 23-year-old left-back will eyeing a return to training in early September.

Philippe Clement recently claimed that the Turkey international could be out for up to six weeks due to an injury.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

“There were fears that his injury could’ve been a lot worse than it ended up being so that’s a positive.

“This seems like a muscular strain, possibly Grade 3 out of 4.

“With that timeline set out by the manager, it doesn’t sound like surgery is required.

“He’ll primarily be focused on rest for now and eye a return to partial training in the first or second week of September if everything goes per plan.”

Ridvan Yilmaz’s absence will be a big blow for Rangers

Yilmaz’s injury absence is a significant blow for Gers as he’s quickly become on of their most important players.

As a left-back who can both defend robustly and contribute offensively, his absence leaves a gap in the team’s dynamics.

His injury not only affects the defensive line but also disrupts tactical flexibility, forcing the team to adapt without a key player who has been pivotal under Philippe Clement.

It remains to be seen if Jefte can do what the Belgian expects from him in Yilmaz’s stead.

In other Rangers news, a Premier League club needs to cut their losses as Gers have expressed an interest to sign him.
