Dan Friedkin could opt to sign “bigger names” at Everton rather than making Jack Harrison’s loan permanent, according to Graeme Bailey.

The journalist reported on 6 December that the 28-year-old wants a permanent move to Goodison Park but poor recent form and a change in management could go against him.

Leeds United would like to sell the Englishman and a permanent move still is being considered on Merseyside.

If The Friedkin group opt to sack Sean Dyche, they may not want to sign the winger permanently and the prospective new owners could look to sign “bigger names going forward”.

Everton and Dan Friedkin could snub Jack Harrison permanent deal

It is certainly exciting for the Toffees fans to see that the new owners, who look set to take over in the coming weeks, are already showing great ambition.

The prospect of big names coming in on Merseyside to hand the squad a boost in terms of quality is what supporters have been calling out for.

It is unlikely that their spirits will be dampened too much if Harrison is to return to Elland Road given his true lack of impact so far this season.

His first campaign on Merseyside was largely positive as he featured in all but nine Premier League games but that hasn’t been the case this year.

Dyche appears to favour the likes of Dwight McNeil, Jesper Lindstrom and Iliman Ndiaye out wide which has limited the 28-year-old to just seven starts.

It is likely that he sees the season out in L4 but when his loan deal ends, it currently seems that the Friedkin’s won’t be looking to bring the winger to Bramley-Moore Dock.
