Everton are to continue talks over naming rights of the new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium following a “landmark” deal with Castore, according to Liverpool Echo.

The newspaper reported via its website on Sunday (16 June) that the deal with Castore is the “first real tentpole” for the club’s new stadium potential, with more expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

It is understood that, as per the Liverpool Echo, the global sportswear company will become a “founding partner” of Bramley-Moore Dock, agreeing a deal worth between £20 and £25million.

Everton continue to build Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium excitement

Goodison Park has been the home of the Toffees since 1892, making it the first major football stadium built in England, and will eventually witness an emotional goodbye at the end of next season.

However, the excitement building over the new stadium is only going to increase as more news and images begin to circulate showing the club’s next home.

Of course, considering the club’s current financial issues, being struck by Profit and Sustainability Rules last season, any new deals will be welcomed with open arms, even if it means giving naming rights to a different company.

Goodison Park is an iconic stadium, and will forever be one, even once the Toffees move to Bramley-Moore Dock in 2025. But Everton have a chance to build something at this new stadium.

Farhad Moshiri is unlikely to still be in charge, though the takeover situation continues to stall after 777 Partners’ deal fell through, despite Dan Friedkin being said to be the frontrunner.

Bramley-Moore Dock can be a new start for the Evertonians, who will want to put the financial woes, points deductions and talk of administration behind them, and begin building a team with Sean Dyche at the helm.

As stated above, the “landmark” deal with Castore will just be the start, with many more deals to come for the Toffees in the next few weeks. It might be a nerve-wracking time for the Toffees, but it’s exciting too.
