Everton are ready to up their interest in Wilfried Gnonto as they close in on a deal for Jesper Lindstrom, according to i News.
The outlet reported on its website on Wednesday (24 July) that Lindstrom’s loan move to Goodison Park from Napoli, which will include an option to buy, should be completed in the coming days.
Once the Danish winger arrives on Merseyside, the Toffees will turn their attention to new targets, including Leeds United Gnonto who remains a priority for Sean Dyche’s side this summer.
Everton still have the money available to strengthen their squad despite off-the-field developments at Goodison Park having sold Amadou Onana to Premier League rivals Aston Villa for £50million.

Everton have insisted that despite the collapse of Dan Friedkin’s takeover at Goodison Park, they would still have money to spend this summer and that appears to remain the case at this stage of the window.
The addition of Lindstrom will be a huge boost to Dyche as it will finally provide him with some further depth in the middle of the park, but the Toffees boss is still short of options out wide ahead of the new campaign.
Gnonto hasn’t managed to set the Championship alight following Leeds’ relegation, but he did show during his time in the top flight with the Whites that he can be an incredibly effective player at that level.
Negotiating with Daniel Farke’s side for the Italian international’s signature won’t be easy as Leeds will be reluctant to lose one of their better players, but the Toffees seem confident they have the money to pull this signing off.
Hopefully, the Blues will get this deal over the line sooner rather than later so that both new additions can have plenty of time to settle into their new surroundings before pre-season comes to an end.
