'It's Unbelievable' - King slams treatment of Sean Dyche at Everton

Bryan King believes Sean Dyche deserves to be handed a brand-new contract by Everton.

The ex-Goodison scout has praised the 53-year-old for the job he has done since arriving at Goodison Park.

As reported by Alan Myers via X (22 July), a consortium headed by Kevin Malone is set to make a takeover bid for Everton in the coming weeks.

But King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – claims Dyche should remain in the dugout regardless of a takeover.

“Dyche must be getting assurances from somebody, and that must be Farhad Moshiri,” King said.

“Even if a new owner comes in, I don’t see why they wouldn’t stick with the manager who kept the club in the Premier League under immense pressure.

“He couldn’t have done much more than keep them up. It’s unbelievable that he hasn’t been rewarded by the club after everything he has done.

“He’s been emotionally involved and he deserves a contract extension at Goodison Park. However, the way he has been treated at the moment, it is so hard to work in those conditions.”

Sean Dyche to remain at Goodison Park after Everton takeover?

There is an incredible amount of uncertainty at Goodison Park at this moment in time.

Following the collapse of the Friedkin Group’s proposed takeover of the club (Everton’s Official Website, 19 July), the search for a new prospective owner must begin once again.

And Dyche will be wondering where that leaves him.

Once a new owner does eventually come in at Goodison Park, whether that be the Malone-led consortium or someone else, one of the first decisions to be made will be on the manager.

Dyche has no doubt earned the opportunity to remain at Goodison Park. However, any new owners might see things differently.

Everton are set to receive a new takeover bid

Either way, the Englishman will likely just be keen for some clarity, which is the least he deserves.

In other Everton news, Jarrad Branthwaite’s response to a contract offer at Goodison Park has been speculated.
