Everton sell-on clause on cards for free signing, player sees light at end of tunnel - report

Dele Alli can see the “light at the end of the tunnel” as he enters the final stage of his recovery at Everton, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported via their website on Saturday (12 October) that Tottenham would receive performance-based bonuses and be entitled to a sell-on clause if the Toffees sign him.

Dele also has admirers elsewhere, with French club Lille showing an interest in signing him.

Dele has had a tough time after missing the whole of last season due to injury, but is undoubtedly working hard to regain full fitness and return to his best.

Everton allowing the midfielder to continue his rehab at Finch Farm despite his contract expiring in the summer shows he has built a good relationship with the club.

This is despite him making just 13 appearances across competitions during his previous spell at Goodison Park.

Although Dele suffered a setback in his road to recovery earlier this month, it appears he is gradually edging closer to a return.

The Toffees will be keen to assess the Englishman before making a decision but he cannot play for the club’s youth teams without a contract.

One way for Dele to regain match fitness is by playing behind-closed-doors friendlies and it remains to be seen if that is feasible.

He will nevertheless be determined to prove himself to everyone at the club once he regains full fitness.
