Everton submit offer to sign international striker, summer exit on the cards - reports

Everton have submitted an offer for Espanyol striker Martin Braithwaite, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish media outlet reported on 2 July, as transcribed by Football Espana, that the Denmark international turned down a contract extension and could be on his way out this summer.

The Toffees, along with Southampton and Leicester City are keen on signing the 33-year-old this summer with talks opened over a potential move, per Tipsbladet on 2 July.

Everton must look to sign Martin Braithwaite for cheap

Their interest in Braithwaite presents an opportunity to secure a seasoned striker without breaking the bank.

However, the Toffees must be cautious in their approach, as the 33-year-old may not be a regular starter at Goodison Park.

Given Everton’s financial constraints and the need to allocate resources wisely, signing Braithwaite on a cheap deal could be a smart move.

The Danish striker’s versatility and experience would provide valuable depth to the squad, but the Toffees must focus on spending big money on other areas of the team that require more urgent attention.

By securing Braithwaite’s signature for a reduced fee, the Merseyside outfit can address their attacking needs without compromising their ability to strengthen other positions that are in greater need of investment.

If they view him as a first-team regular, it’s probably not good planning by the hierarchy and Sean Dyche is unlikely to be on board.
