Ex-Everton employee says takeover would cost American 'Awful' lot of money, may need help

Bryan King has insisted that John Textor will need to pay an “awful lot of money” to complete any takeover of Everton.

The ex-Toffees scout has questioned if the American would come in with several other parties to pay what Farhad Moshiri wants for the club.

Alan Nixon did report on Sunday 11 August that Textor has found new allies for his takeover bid, and is looking to dump his shares at Crystal Palace.

“He was only a part-owner in Crystal Palace,” he exclusively told Goodison News.

“For him to take over Everton is going to cost an awful lot of money. Is Textor going to go in with someone else, or a few other parties because I can’t see how he is structurally and financially able to pay the full price of what Moshiri wants?

“It will be very difficult. There must be another consortium as well, whether Everton or Textor are trying to elevate another consortium, I don’t know.

“But as I said before, these things should be tied up in the summer, this is just going on and on.”

Goodison News learned that the 58-year-old retains an interest in purchasing the Toffees and it looks as though he now has help to complete a potentially expensive deal.

As King says, a quick resolution is needed with Moshiri just taking the club around in circles after yet another failed attempt from Dan Friedkin last time.

Time will tell if Textor is that man, but he certainly looks to be pushing.
