Arsenal are ready to demand a loan fee of £6million to let goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale leave the club, sources have told Football Insider.
The Gunners have been keen to sell the goalkeeper, 26, in a permanent move but interested clubs have been put off by their high asking price.
Ajax have recently entered the race, while Football Insider revealed on 31 July that Nottingham Forest and Southampton are among the Premier League clubs interested.
Sources say Arsenal are demanding a fee of between £30-40million to let Ramsdale go permanently.
However, the England international is pushing for first-team football and Mikel Arteta’s side are set to change tactics and accept loan bids in the final days of the summer window.
A temporary deal covering the 2024-25 campaign will cost clubs around £6million.
Arsenal to demand £6m Ramsdale loan fee
David Raya has finalised his permanent move to the Emirates Stadium and will reprise his role as Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper this term.
Raya replaced Ramsdale last summer (2023) after arriving on an initial loan from Brentford.
As such, the former Bournemouth and Sheffield United shot-stopper made just 11 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign.
The five-cap international is under contract at Arsenal until June 2026.
He has made 153 Premier League appearances with three clubs, keeping 38 clean sheets and conceding 212 goals.
