Exclusive: Barcelona and Real Madrid send scouts to watch Forest vs Newcastle with three players on the radar

Nottingham Forest and Newcastle took part in a highly entertaining Premier League clash at the City Ground on Sunday – with representatives from Barcelona and Real Madrid in attendance.

There were some tremendous talents on show in Nottingham this weekend, with the Garibaldi boasting the likes of Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi in attack, while Murillo stars at the back.

In regards to Newcastle, gems such as Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimaraes, Lewis Hall and Anthony Gordon all started, stepping up in the second half to secure a 3-1 win after going 1-0 down in the first half.

The result moved Newcastle up to eighth in the Premier League – with Nottingham Forest dropping down to fifth.

Now, sources have informed TBR Football that Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid sent scouts to watch three players in particular.

Barcelona and Real Madrid scout Murillo, Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes

TBR Football understand scouts from Barcelona and Real Madrid travelled to Nottingham on Sunday to cast an eye over Murillo, Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes.

To be more specific, Barcelona were primarily in attendance at the City Ground to watch Isak, after hearing that contract talks had stalled between the Sweden international and Newcastle.

Sources inform TBR Football that a new deal is no longer on the agenda at St James’ Park – which has alerted Arsenal and Chelsea along with Barcelona.

Isak scored to make it 1-1 in the 54th minute, kickstarting a comeback for his side, so the Blaugrana were presumably impressed by what they saw from the Swede.

In regards to Real Madrid, TBR Football have been told Los Blancos are long-term admirers of Guimaraes, who was linked to Liverpool, and wanted to watch his latest outing, although the UEFA Champions League holders have also grown to admire Murillo over the past 12 months as well.

Like Isak, Murillo also found the net on Sunday – which would have impressed Real Madrid – although the Spanish giants will surely see room for the Brazilian to improve as Newcastle netted three goals against him in the second half.

Newcastle and Nottingham Forest in a strong position

While fans of Newcastle and Nottingham Forest will understandably feel anxious by this news, both clubs are in strong negotiating positions regarding these three players.

Murillo, who Arsenal also admire, Isak and Guimaraes are all tied to their clubs until June 2028 – so it will presumably take a large fee to prise them away from English football.
