Exclusive: Man United confident they will sign £10m player in January with Ruben Amorim coming in
Man City wanted him too ????
- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Manchester United may have already identified the first player who will arrive during Ruben Amorim’s new era at the club.
Both Manuel Ugarte and Sekou Kone were the final arrivals during Erik ten Hag’s time in charge of Man United.
United fans will be hoping that Amorim can get more out of Ugarte in particular, a midfielder he previously worked with at Sporting CP.
That being said, TBR Football confirms that United are confident of signing another new midfielder in the near future, Rosenborg’s Sverre Nypan.
Man United confident of signing young Rosenborg star Sverre Nypan
17-year-old Nypan is thought to be one of the best players of his age in world football right now, explaining all of the interest in his signature.
It was previously shared that United were determined to beat Manchester City to Nypan, something they’re now confident of doing.

TBR understands that Rosenborg have told Nypan to begin choosing his next club once their season finishes in early December.
Nypan is available for around £10m, but there could be add-ons taking the deal closer to £20m for things such as Champions League wins.
As a result, United are working to try and conclude a deal, with Nypan’s camp set to sit down and assess their options.
United are confident, they have been tracking the young Norwegian talent since he was 14/15-years-old, and he has been visited more than once.
However, the club knows the fact that they’ve not tied him down yet has left the door open to others.
Chelsea and Man City among clubs looking to steal Sverre Nypan from United
Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa have all had contact with Nypan’s representatives in recent months.
They are also joined by Man City’s owners the City Football Group and also BlueCo – Chelsea’s parent company.
Both clubs would prefer to see Nypan start his senior career away from England before eventually moving to the Premier League.
Of course, interest in Nypan isn’t limited to the England.
Bayern Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Monaco, Atalanta and Napoli are amongst the clubs also keen to try and convince Nypan to sign for them.
