Tottenham had held contract talks with Son and his camp with al parties aligned when it came to inking a new deal.

Heung-min Son more important to Tottenham than ever
Despite turning 32-years-old, Son is still showing his quality at Tottenham having returned three goals and three assists in the league.
Brennan Johnson has hailed Son as a huge inspiration for him and regularly looks for advice from the South Korean.

Even in his return from injury, Son was able to provide a moment of brilliance to drag Tottenham back into the game on the weekend.
Tottenham have been quoted £50m for Jamie Gittens who is being eyed as a potential long-term replacement for Son which shows the cost involved in replacing the winger.
Given Spurs aren’t handing out a new deal to Son – as things stand – this could suggest Mikey Moore is doing enough behind the scenes to impress the chiefs in north London.
