Fabrizio Romano claims Crystal Palace have submitted offer for 'very fast' attacker who's 'got it all'

Crystal Palace have had a mixed summer on the transfer front so far, making two signings but also losing one of their star players.

The Eagles have snapped up Daichi Kamada on a free transfer and also landed Chadi Riad from Real Betis.

However, Michael Olise has left Crystal Palace to join Bayern Munich in a deal said to be worth £50million.

Questions remain over the future of Eagles star Eberechi Eze, who has been linked with a number of clubs.

That said, Palace now seem to be making good progress in pursuit of a third signing this summer.

Fabrizio Romano shared a positive update regarding the “top notch” attacking target this evening.

Crystal Palace submit Ismaila Sarr offer

The player in question is Marseille winger Ismaila Sarr.

According to Romano, Palace have submitted an offer worth around £12.6million for the player.

Romano understands the deal would also include a sell-on clause for Marseille should the Eagles sell Sarr in future.

And in terms of personal terms, Sarr has almost agreed a five-year deal, with Romano tagging fellow transfer insider Santi Aouna.

“Deal on,” concluded the Italian.

Crystal Palace closing in on ‘very, very fast’ forward

Sarr is a player of the highest calibre who would bolster the ranks of any Premier League squad.

The 24-year-old mostly plays on the right flank, but can feature across the entire front line including as a centre-forward.

Sarr is also proven at Premier League level, having played for Watford in the top flight in 2019/20 and 2021/22.

A few years ago, Sadio Mane – then at Liverpool – spoke of what he told Andrew Robertson about his compatriot.

“He’s rapid. I think defenders will struggle,” Mane told The Athletic.

“Last time I was speaking to Robbo, I said, ‘Watford have a really good player.

“I will need to help you more otherwise Ismaila Sarr will kill you, because he is a good dribbler and very, very fast.”

Meanwhile, Ben Foster said of Sarr in 2022: “He would fit into one of the big boys.

“If his head is on it and he’s fully fit and flying and not worrying about any hamstring injuries, he is top notch. I mean top notch.

“He is double rapid and his balls into the box, his delivery, he can finish, he’s got it all. Honestly.”
