Fabrizio Romano has just shared big late-night transfer update involving West Ham

West Ham United have just made their third signing of the summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Hammers have been one of the Premier League’s busier teams in the early stages of the transfer window.

Brazilian midfielder Luis Guilherme has joined West Ham from Palmeiras, while veteran goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has arrived at the London Stadium on a free transfer.

On Friday night, Romano took to X to claim that the Hammers have completed another deal.

Fabrizio Romano says West Ham have completed Max Kilman deal

Over the past few days, speculation linking West Ham with Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Max Kilman has intensified.

Indeed, Romano declared “here we go” on the deal on Thursday evening. And since then, things have been heading in the right direction.

The transfer insider has now reported that Kilman is officially a new West Ham player, with all the paperwork now signed and a £40million deal completed.

What will Max Kilman bring to West Ham?

West Ham endured an underwhelming season last time out, failing to qualify for Europe and conceding far too many goals.

The Hammers shipped 74 goals in the Premier League last term, more than any other team in the top half of the table.

With that in mind, Max Kilman is just what West Ham need to really strengthen their shaky back line.

The 27-year-old is superb with the ball at his feet, a great defender, proven in the Premier League and has superb leadership skills.

Molineux icon Conor Coady told the Wolves website in 2020: “Max… trains with us every single day, he knows the role inside out, he’s a fantastic lad and a brilliant professional as well.

“He’s brilliant to have around and is a brilliant professional – he listens to the manager, he learns off the lads who’ve been playing there the last couple of years and I think you could see that today.”
