Everton will not be hit by too much financial harm after the Premier League clash against Liverpool was postponed, Dan Plumley has said.
Storm Darragh caused carnage over the weekend, with the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park called off on 7 December.
Plumley, a football finance expert, says that ticket money will already have been secured with little damage expected if the rearranged game remains on TV.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Plumley admitted that the decision will unlikely do too much harm for the Toffees moving forward.
“The financial damage will be minimal,” he said.
“Season ticket sales are already in and any walk in tickets will just roll through to the rearranged fixture so match day money is already secure.

“The only hit would be if the rearranged fixture is not on TV but that’s unlikely so won’t do them too much harm financially.“
Severe winds could have caused damage to fans and the stadium, and it was no surprise to see this one called off until a later date.
The Friedkin Group will likely be officially in charge for the rearranged game and the Toffees could have a couple of new signings to use, with a huge evening clash now on the cards.
Everton currently sit 15th in the Premier League, five points ahead of Ipswich in the last relegation spot after their late defeat to Bournemouth on 8 December.
