Aston Villa return to Premier League action after the international break with a trip to Fulham on Saturday.
The Villans are absolutely flying high at present, sitting fifth in the Premier League table and also making great progress in the Champions League and Carabao Cup.
Villa’s last two results before the October break were a 0-0 draw with Manchester United and the historic 1-0 win over Bayern Munich.
Fulham are also doing well this season, sitting eighth in the table and putting up a good fight in their 3-2 loss at Manchester City last time out.
Unai Emery, speaking to the Villa media team on Friday, confirmed he had some “good news” relating to the squad ahead of the Cottagers clash.
Tyrone Mings and Boubacar Kamara in contention for Aston Villa return
Emery confirmed that defender Tyrone Mings and midfielder Boubacar Kamara are in contention for their long-awaited returns to action on Saturday.
Both have been sidelined since last season with respective knee injuries but they are now available once again.
The Villa boss was able to give a mostly clean bill of health ahead of the Fulham game, and even the only absentee, Robin Olsen, is now training.
“Progressively, they are getting better, of course,” Emery said of Mings and Kamara.
“Kamara and Mings, for this match, they are available, and they are going to try with us for Fulham.”
Emery continued: “Only still being out, he is training, but not 100% with us, is Robin Olsen.
“He is not in the squad, but the other players, they are available, and it’s good news.”
Emery also provided positive news on John McGinn, Ezri Konsa and Jaden Philogene, who had been carrying knocks.
“McGinn has trained this week normally with us, and he’s feeling good,” said the Villa boss.
“Konsa as well, he’s feeling good. Jaden, he’s feeling good.
“I think it’s the first time this year, we are, more or less, with every player available to play.”

Belgium international Timothy Castagne also returned with an injury, but Joachim Andersen is available despite withdrawing from the Denmark squad.
