Four Lads reacts as speculation emerges of Rangers readying £5.1m bid to sign new striker

Four Lads are unsure on whether speculation Rangers are readying a £5.1million offer for Rapid Bucharest’s Albion Rrahmani is true.

The Gers are ready to go head-to-head with Slavia Prague to sign the striker ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Gers could make the Kosovan the most expensive player in Rapid Bucharest history as they prepare a £5.1 million bid, [Kosovar Football].

Now the Four Lads Had A Dream podcast have reacted on X (6 June) suggesting that the interest is real but the deal hasn’t yet progressed.

They said: “Are we bidding that much, are we in for him properly, that I definitely don’t know.

“If I get confirmation of anything I post it but at this moment I have a lot of speculation and nothing concrete.”

The Gers know that they need to add to their squad this summer as they look to close the gap to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

Last season the season ended in frustrating circumstances which has only been added to be a whole host of departures after the season has ended.

The likes of Kemar Roofe have departed and now Philippe Clement may look to add a new striker to his club this summer.

Rrahmani is an unnamed quantity among Rangers fans and there is no doubt that paying £5m is a hefty fee for Gers to play.

Given the striker already at the club with Danilo and Cyriel Dessers, this is a lot to spend on a striker unless one of them leaves.

This would leave a huge gap in Clement’s squad which would see the situation needing sorting during the window and Rrahmani would make sense.

There is going to be competition from the continent but a move to Ibrox could be tempting for the Kosovan.
