Friedkin executive team ready to make Dyche decision at Everton – report

The Freidkin Group have readied a new executive team at Everton and are preparing to make a decision on Sean Dyche’s future, according to iNews.

The i reported on 28 November that the incoming Toffees owners are “acutely aware” of how important staying in the Premier League is to the club’s future, and face a decision on Dyche’s short-term future.

Friedkin’s takeover at Goodison Park is expected to be ratified by mid-December [Alan Myers, 20 November], and with a new-look executive team “ready to go” upon completion, an immediate decision on Dyche is in the pipeline.

The to-do list Dan Friedkin will inherit at Goodison Park upon the completion of his takeover is a lengthy one, but the short and long-term future of who stands in the managerial dugout is right at the top of it.

January is fast coming into view, and with the Blues having won just twice so far this season, it’s clear that reinforcements will be needed in order to dative off the prospect of an unthinkable relegation [TEAMtalk, 9 October].

However, the Friedkin Group may be hesitant to commit their millions to a manager whom they know has no long-term future on Merseyside, with Dyche’s contract set to expire in the summer of 2025.

As a result, the call made on Dyche’s future by the club’s new-look executive team – the identity of which is still to be disclosed – could prove crucial to deciding how much business they do in January.

Dyche has kept the Toffees’ heads above water amid trying circumstances to say the least in recent seasons, but with a new era on the horizon, it remains to be seen if he’ll be a part of it.

In other Everton news, Toffees supporters are set to join Manchester United fans in a protest ahead of their upcoming match.
