'From what I've heard' - Dan Bardell: Everton handed boost to sign player on loan for 2024-25

Dan Bardell believes that Leeds United will allow Jack Harrison to rejoin Everton on loan this summer after they missed out on promotion to the Premier League.

The Toffees signed the Englishman on loan for the season last summer and he went on to have a positive campaign overall at Goodison Park except for injury issues.

The winger was a useful player to offer Sean Dyche balance to his side, with Dwight McNeil on the other flank, which helped secure Premier League survival with time to spare.

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell has suggested his parent club Leeds’ play-off final loss will give Everton a boost in the transfer window.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Bardell said: “From what I’ve heard, as long as a team pays his wage in full then he can go out on loan again because Leeds haven’t been promoted so Everton might do the same again.

When I do see them and he’s on the pitch it always seems like he impacts games and I think Everton fans would be really pleased with him signing again.

Everton could re-sign Jack Harrison from Leeds United

The versatile midfielder and forward did struggle with injuries at times for the Toffees last season but he only missed nine games in the Premier League.

At 27-years-old, he brings plenty of experience of the division to the squad which can only be a good thing as they look to survive.

Although Dyche’s side avoided relegation with ease last season, they will have to wait before making new signings with the ownership situation up in the air.

A loan signing for Harrison may prove to be possible regardless of the financial issues that the club may encounter for the upcoming campaign.

If Leeds want to move him on, on loan, then it feels like a no-brainer to bring him back in to take his place back at Goodison Park.

He may be too expensive to sign on a permanent deal for Everton but a loan could suit all parties this summer.

In other Everton news, a £94.2billion update has emerged as the Toffees takeover undergoes yet another twist.
