Arsenal team news v Fulham
Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori were forced to miss the midweek win over Manchester United through injury and remain doubts going into the Fulham game.
Fellow Arsenal defenders Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain unavailable as they are still recovering from their respective knee issues.
Reiss Nelson is ineligible to face his parent club, while Tom Cairney will serve the second of a three-match suspension following his sending-off at Spurs.
Sasa Lukic is available after suspension, but Harrison Reed is sidelined due to a knee injury and Joachim Andersen has missed the last two matches with a calf issue.
Gabriel Magalhaes tipped to come back in for Arsenal at Fulham as Gabriel Martinelli drops out
Arsenal are unlikely to make many changes from the XI that beat Manchester United in midweek.
If Gabriel and Calafiori are fit, then they are all-but set to return to the line-up in place of Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko – and we predict this will be the case.
The Gunners midfield is in great form, so there’s little scope for Arteta to make any changes in the middle of the park.
This would mean a central three of Declan Rice, Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard, who Arteta recently said has “everything” that the club wants as a player and captain.
Arteta could potentially make a change in attack as Gabriel Martinelli struggled somewhat against the Red Devils while Leandro Trossard looked sharp off the bench.
With that in mind, the Arsenal boss could replace the £200,000-a-week Brazilian (Salarysport) with the versatile Belgian.
Predicted Arsenal starting XI v Fulham (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Trossard
