Wolves players remain fully behind under-pressure boss Gary O’Neil despite their winless start to the season, sources have told Football Insider.
The Molineux club picked up a point at home against Crystal Palace on Saturday (2 November), conceding a 77th-minute equaliser after Joao Gomes put them in the lead just five minutes earlier.
Sources say the dressing room feels there is still time to turn things around this term.
Wolves are still without a win this season and sit bottom of the table with three points.
O’Neil’s next task is a home clash with 19th-place Southampton, who moved above his side with a 1-0 win against Everton on Saturday (2 November).
It is believed an eighth Premier League loss against the Saints would ramp up the pressure on the English boss heading into the international break.
Wolves players remain behind O’Neil amid sack pressure
Only Wolves and Ipswich are yet to win a top-flight game this term after 10 games of the new season.
Football Insider revealed on Sunday (3 November) that Wolves have Graham Potter and David Moyes on their managerial shortlist should they decide to sack O’Neil.
The Midlands club would prefer to bring in a manager with Premier League experience should they decide on a change of management.
O’Neil’s side face Fulham and Bournemouth in the days after the international break with a run of favourable fixtures following in the festive schedule.
In other news, Wolves could accept “cut-price” Liverpool offer for key man.
