Everton seem to have gotten rid of the wrong striker after selling Moise Kean to Juventus in the summer of 2023.
Sean Dyche’s biggest struggles since arriving at Goodison Park have come in the final third, with both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto failing to find any kind of form in front of goal.
That situation has been made much trickier with the former entering into the final 12 months of his current contract on Merseyside and no signs of an extension to his deal.
While Kean was far from prolific during his time at Goodison Park, notching four goals and two assists in 39 appearances, sandwiched by two loan deals, it is clear that the club just needed to remain patient.
Of course, the £25million transfer fee that the Toffees were able to receive from Juventus should not be scoffed at [BBC Sport], but his current form is exactly what the team could do with right now.
Everton now missing Moise Kean after 2023 Goodison Park exit?
After some impressive displays for Juventus, the 24-year-old has ended up plying his trade for Fiorentina in Serie A, where he has hit the ground running since the summer transfer window.
He has notched 11 goals in his first 14 appearances, most recently scoring a hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Hellas Verona on Sunday 10 November, highlighting all of his skills and talents in Europe.
This came after scoring once against Torino and a brace against AS Roma in the two games before, showing just how much he has matured and developed since leaving England two summers ago.
With the last player to hit at least 10 Premier League goals in a single season being Richarlison in the 2021/22 campaign, Kean could have fit in perfectly this season but Evertonians can only watch from afar.
In other Everton news, a journalist has named Farhad Moshiri’s “biggest mistake” at Goodison Park.
