'More complex' - Alan Myers issues Everton takeover claim amid progress update

The Everton takeover situation is complex as compared to Jim Ratcliffe acquiring a stake in Manchester United, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports news editor claimed that everything is progressing as the Friedkin Group would’ve hoped.

However, he stated that they have not confirmed yet if they have received the green signal from the FA and the Financial Conduct Authority.

Myers wrote on X: “The deal may be agreed but it’s more complex with this one, other things needed to be put in place, the main thing is everything is progressing as hoped and it will be done when it’s done.

“TFG won’t confirm that’s the case but if correct, yes PL approval plus oversight committee process then closing process.”

Everton fans will be glad everything is on track thus far

The takeover process involves a detailed bureaucratic procedure, which is inherently time-consuming due to the need for thorough checks and balances by different regulatory bodies.
