Jack Harrison has failed to impress in either of his two loan spells at Everton and will likely return to Leeds United at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old is currently on another season-long loan from Elland Road, with the Toffees’ financial struggles during the summer meaning they were unable to splash out on a permanent transfer.

So far this season, Harrison has played in all 11 of the Toffees’ Premier League matches, starting seven of them, but is yet to register a single goal contribution, continuing a similar trend from last term.

Despite making 25 appearances at Goodison Park last season, he could only notch three goals and three assists as Sean Dyche’s side struggled in the final third.

While the winger cannot be solely to blame for that, with much of it falling on Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s shoulders, he is just not good enough to warrant a permanent move to Merseyside.

Everton already planning to replace Jack Harrison?

Luckily, the Toffees have no responsibilities or pressure to keep the player at the end of the season, and the club already seem to be searching for alternatives ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

With the Friedkin Group attempting to purchase Farhad Moshiri’s majority shareholding at Goodison Park, the club are likely to have far more funds to work with during the next summer transfer window.

According to CaughtOffside [15 November], the Toffees are one of the teams, alongside Crystal Palace and Fulham, interested in Botafogo’s Luiz Henrique who is valued at £25million.

The Merseysiders are said to be impressed by the 23-year-old’s performances in Brazil, and rightly so, boasting 11 goals and five assists in 49 appearances since January 2024.

With previous experience in La Liga and the Europa League, he would be a clear upgrade on Harrison, given that he is also an international player with the Brazil first team.
