Harry Kane wants Bayern Munich to sign Tottenham star

Harry Kane has expressed his desire to reunite with Son Heung-min at Bayern Munich after their successful association at Tottenham.

The England national team captain was visiting a Bayern fan club in Bad Aibling on Sunday (15 December) when he was asked which Spurs player he would like to take to Germany.

He did not think twice as he went on to name Son, who is set to enter the final six months of his contract in North London, in response.

“Sonny”, Kane said in a single word, as quoted by Nico Linner of the BILD.

Son’s current deal with the Premier League club runs out at the end of the season, but a free transfer is not on the cards with a one-year contract extension already lined up [The Telegraph].

However, it is unclear where the South Korea international’s long-term future lies as he turns 33 next July.

It remains to be seen if the forward will be tempted to reunite with Kane in Germany if Bayern came calling at some point.

It is worth noting that seven years in Germany before joining Spurs in 2015 and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he will go back one day.

However, the Bavarian giants are currently spoilt for choice on the flanks, with Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, Michael Olise and Mathys Tel all at the club.

Furthermore, things did not go well for Bayern the last time they signed an ageing left winger from the Premier League.

Sadio Mane failed to replicate his Liverpool exploits at the Allianz Arena after moving there along with Kane and was sold to Al-Nassr after a single season.
