'He had missed...' - Doctor reacts as Rangers eye move to sign speedy Arsenal sensation

Rangers will need to pay close attention to Arsenal sensation Reuell Walters’ fitness ahead of a potential transfer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert that while he missed four games this past season, it is not something that will cause long-term consequences.

This comes after The Scotsman reported on 3 June that Gers are keen on signing the speedy 19-year-old defender whose contract at Arsenal runs out this month.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

Physically, the medical staff at Rangers will need to understand his fitness levels and the gap there is between Arsenal under-21s games and football in Scotland.

Mentally, the key will be his commitment to his fitness and habits, both on and off the pitch.

He had missed four games with injury this past season with the under-21s but that is not significant and should not have long-term consequences.

Rangers eye Reuell Walters’ transfer as one for the future

Walters could be a valuable addition to Gers this summer due to his potential and versatility.

As a 19-year-old right-back who can also play as a centre-half, he has attracted interest from Rangers and other clubs.

Despite being out of contract later this month, the teenager is highly rated and has been described as a highly-rated, attack-minded right back.
