Joao Felix will return for preseason training at Atletico Madrid in the coming weeks but his future remains uncertain.
The Portuguese international remains clear in his desire to return Barcelona after spending last season on loan in Catalonia.
However, his stance is only one piece of the puzzle, with La Blaugrana unable and unwilling to meet Atletico Madrid’s €80m asking price.
Barcelona are open to another loan deal, with a possible reduced purchase option, which Los Rojiblancos want to made as be mandatory.
As the sage rolls on, former side Benfica have also registered an interest, alongside links to the Premier League.
Both options would be a back up choice for Felix at this stage with Barcelona his sole focus ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
As per the latest from Marca, Atletico are open to offers, but nothing has landed in Madrid which is close to their demands with Benfica yet to formalise their interest in the 24-year-old.
