'He's in the top 5': Pape Sarr says £39m Tottenham man is one of the best players in the world in his position

Tottenham have some talented players in their squad at the moment and midfielder Pape Matar Sarr feels one of this teammates is right up there among the best in the world.

Sarr has become a key cog in the system for Ange Postecoglou and is expected to have a big season once again under the Tottenham boss.

Sarr, of course, is very much still a developing talent and he’ll be hoping this season brings yet more progress in his young career.

However, Sarr also feels that his current Tottenham teammates are of serious quality.

The likes of Heung-Min Son and Cristian Romero are players of genuine world-class ability.

And according to Sarr, Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro is also one of the best around.

Pape Matar Sarr says Pedro Porro one of the top five right-backs in the world

Speaking in an interview on Spurs Play about his teammates, Sarr was asked about Porro’s impact in the team.

And in a nice nod to his teammate, Sarr admitted he feels Porro is one of the best in the world.

“He has a lot of energy. I like the way he plays and he’s in the top 5 right backs in the world for me,” Sarr said.

Tottenham paid around £39m to sign Porro from Sporting Lisbon and he has quickly become a fan’s favourite.

Porro is also popular among his teammates, with new signing Archie Gray recently admitting Porro had been brilliant with him ever since signing.

However, Tottenham have been keen to bring in solid back up for Porro as well, which is why the signing of Gray will help.

Djed Spence is also still at the club, although he could end up moving out on loan or being sold.

Porro, then, very much looks like he’s going to be Tottenham’s first-choice right-back for some time yet and he’ll get even more chances to prove Sarr right.
