'Next week': Fabrizio Romano says £25m Tottenham player is now really close to leaving

Tottenham are working on a number of transfer deals right now and they could be close to sealing an exit for one of their first-teamers.
Spurs want to make new signings this summer and have made a good start on that front by landing Archie Gray.
However, there is also a realism involved in that the club know that they need to move players on if they are to really go full tilt and strengthen.
Fortunately, this summer has seen movement from Spurs in terms of outgoings.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has signed for Marseille, while Joe Rodon and Ryan Sessegnon have also been moved on.
But things aren’t stopping there and according to Fabrizio Romano, Brazilian defender Emerson Royal could now be on his way out as early as next week.
AC Milan could sign Emerson Royal from Tottenham this week
Taking to X to provide an update on the situation surrounding Royal, Romano has said that a new round of talks are scheduled and that a deal could be wrapped up this week.
As we know, AC Milan’s interest in Royal has been there for much of the summer but after things stalled, other clubs like Galatasaray also entered the fray.
Now, though, it looks like Royal might get his wish and end up signing for Milan after all.
Tottenham are hoping to get as much of the £25m they paid to land Royal back in any deal.
Whether or not Milan will pay that sort of money, is seriously open to debate.
Reports have suggested that Milan submitted a bid shy of £10m for Royal previously and that was quickly turned down from the Spurs end.
Ange Postecoglou has a number of options at full-back, including new signing Gray, while Djed Spence is also back at the club and could have a chance this coming season.
