'Honestly': Tottenham tipped to make last minute move to sign £40m England star this summer
What a player...????
Tottenham Hotspur have placed great emphasis on recruiting young talent this summer with Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall already playing a starring role in pre-season.
However, they are still in need of a prolific number nine having never really replaced Harry Kane following his Bayern Munich switch a year ago.
Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke has been heavily linked to Hotspur Way with a £65m price tag mooted.
Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez is another potential target and now an EFL owner has recommended another option from the Premier League.

EFL owner tips Tottenham to make late move for Ivan Toney
Speaking on talkSPORT, Peterborough owner Daragh MacAnthony has tipped Tottenham Hotspur to make a late-minute move for his former striker Ivan Toney.
“There will be people waiting for the window to slide towards close, Daniel Levy is going to be one of those people,” MacAnthony said.
“If I’m Ange Postecoglou I’m looking at Solanke and Toney, they are the same height but very different.
But I honestly think he’s made for Spurs and the way Ange plays.
“I would imagine Levy two days before the window closes or if not on the day goes [and tries to get him]. Don’t forget the agent of Ivan is the same agent that was with Gareth Bale, they have a great relationship with Spurs.”
Ivan Toney available for cut-price
Brentford are expected to demand around £40m for Toney this summer which is a long way off their initial £90m asking price.
That’s because the 28-year-old has less than a year remaining on his deal, so The Bees won’t want to risk losing him on a free transfer.
In other news, Tottenham rejected an enquiry from Real Madrid for their ‘exceptional’ star this summer.
