Danilo and Ianis Hagi are expected to return as Rangers boss Philippe Clement makes four changes for the Premier Sports Cup final on Sunday.
The duo missed out on the Europa League draw with Tottenham after not being registered for the squad due to injury.
Clement could recall the pair for the Old Firm contest on 15 December as he seeks to secure a maiden victory over Celtic in his sixth attempt.
Rabbi Matondo, Oscar Cortes and Tom Lawrence are not expected to make the squad with the trio still struggling with injuries.
Philippe Clement to make four changes for Rangers v Celtic
Jack Butland could keep his place in between the sticks after a brilliant performance against Spurs, the 31-year-old has been one of the first names on the team sheet so far this season.
James Tavernier and Jefte are expected to retain their places at full-back for the Old Firm clash after impressive displays against Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Leon Balogun will likely partner Robin Propper at the heart of the Gers defence as a result of John Souttar leaving the pitch after 35 minutes on Thursday.
At the heart of midfield, Connor Barron is expected to partner Nicolas Raskin. Clement could axe Mohamed Diomande from his midfield to make him settle for a place on the bench against Celtic.
In front of them, Ianis Hagi should return in place of Nedim Bajrami in the number ten role for the clash with Celtic, the Romanian was ruled out of the Europa League contest as he was not registered for the squad.
On the wings, Vaclav Cerny keeps his place after an industrious display against Spurs but Ridvan Yilmaz will start from the bench with goal scorer Hamza Igamane moving to the left flank.
That is to accommodate for Danilo, who like Hagi was not registered for the European squad due to injury earlier in the season.
Rangers will go into the contest at Hampden Park in good spirits after an impressive draw against Spurs in a game that they could have won.
In other Rangers news, Kris Boyd was wowed by what James Tavernier did in the draw against Tottenham.
