Ibrox View: Rangers fans will be in hysterics at what Michael Beale posted today

Michael Beale certainly isn’t the most popular figure among Rangers supporters after a less-than-impressive spell at Ibrox.

While the Englishman had plenty of success under Steven Gerrard in his first spell in Glasgow, his foray into management with the Gers didn’t last very long as he received his marching order early last season.

The former QPR boss failed to win any silverware in his time in charge of the Light Blues and was replaced by Philippe Clement who managed to get his hands on the League Cup within months of arriving in Scotland.

What happened to Micheal Beale after Ibrox and Rangers exit?

Beale certainly hasn’t helped his reputation with some of his comments following his Ibrox exit and Gers fans will have been left in hysterics after the Englishman took to social media with a new post.

Writing on Instagram on Saturday (9 November) he said: “You v Yourself: everyone’s development pathway is unique: enjoy each step of growing and learning on your coaching journey.

“Listed above are my full-time roles from 2003 to 2024 across all ages of player development from u6 to seniors. I also had part-time roles: owning my own soccer school, coaching disability football, managing Crystal Palace and Chelsea FC women’s teams, coaching AFC Wimbledon u19 men’s and also a grassroots Sunday team.

“Huge experiences and great memories from each of those groups you vs yourself ‘don’t look sideways to compare, only for inspiration’.”

Accompanying the caption, Beale shared an image showing his achievements across the clubs he has worked with.

Michael Beale has discussed his work at Rangers

Underneath the Rangers badge, the 44-year-old cites Champions League playoffs. While he did take the Light Blues into a playoff campaign, they were PSV who smashed them 5-1 in the Netherlands to end their hopes of qualification.

He also mentions leading the Light Blues in the Europa League. During his time in Glasgow, he only took charge of a single Europa League game so it seems slightly excessive to laud that as an impressive achievement.

To top it off, Beale has made a note of his in the SPL. The Scottish top-flight is the Premiership, not the Premier League and that mistake almost demonstrated the naivety of the former Gers boss.

Clement may not be the most popular figure among supporters, but he is much better than the potential alternative. The Gers will be happy to be rid of the 44-year-old.

In other Rangers news, Cerny has been told that he looks like a “little boy” when he plays in the Scottish Premiership
