Ibrox View: Rangers path for new summer signing clearer despite £1m+ fee agreement

While Rangers may still bring in a striker or two this summer, they’re unlikely to sign Bayern Munich sensation Yusuf Kabadayi.

The Fourth Official reported on 9 June that Gers had agreed on a transfer fee between £1million and £1.5million for the 20-year-old.

However, it appears that the striker has different preferences and Turkish outlet Sabah reported on 19 June that he’s now closing in on a move to Besiktas and talks with Bayern Munich are progressing positively.

Kabadayi’s potential move to Besiktas instead of Rangers suggests that he may not be particularly keen on moving to Ibrox.

This development implies that Gers will need to explore alternative options to bolster their attacking options.

This situation highlights the unpredictable nature of the transfer market and the need for the club to adapt their strategy to secure suitable alternatives.

At 20, the German was anyway a risky acquisition and there were doubts about whether or not he would strengthen the playing eleven.
