Injury Expert: £20m+ player fitness at 'All-time High' amid Tottenham transfer speculation

Sunderland attacking midfielder Jobe Bellingham appears to have his fitness at an all-time high amid Tottenham transfer links, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that while the 18-year-old had an issue with his abdominal muscles back in the 2022/23 season, he had no setbacks this past season and is in good condition.

The Guardian reported on 3 June that Spurs were keen on signing the Sunderland gem who’s valued at north of £20million.

Bryan King, a former scout at the North London club, believes that they can even agree a cut-price deal to secure his services.

Discussing the state of play with Bellingham exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “Having gauged his injury record, there was a setback back in 2022/23 and that kept him out for almost three months.

“It sounds like a muscular strain of the abdominals.

“The key is it doesn’t seem to have popped back up again since then which is a very good sign.

“This past season he was available for all the league games and that suggests that his fitness is at an all-time high.“

Tottenham must not overpay for Jobe Bellingham

While his talent is undeniable, Spurs must be aware that he’s still very raw and is unproven outside the second tier.

The 18-year-old midfielder has shown maturity and ability in the Championship and his brother Jude’s success may suggest a high ceiling.

Tottenham need midfield reinforcements and Jobe could provide depth and a long-term prospect.

His versatility to play centrally or further forward is valuable and with a reasonable fee, the Lilywhites could secure a promising talent without breaking the bank.
