Jack Grealish says Tottenham have a player he prefers to Franck Ribery

Jack Grealish has been ranking and rating some of the best wingers in football history.

The England international has been speaking to TalkSPORT on TikTok about some of the top wide players in the game.

Grealish was full of praise for Liverpool’s Luis Diaz during this task, but ultimately, he picked a Spurs player ahead of Diaz.

Indeed, Grealish ranked Heung-Min Son as one of the best wingers in modern history, stating that he prefers him to both Diaz and Bayern Munich legend, Franck Ribery.

Son has been one of the best players in the Premier League for a long time now, and Grealish is clearly a big fan of the South Korean.

Jack Grealish picks Heung-Min Son over Franck Ribery

Grealish made it clear he’s a massive fan of Son.

The Manchester City star chose Son over both Luis Diaz and Franck Ribery.

However, he didn’t have Son down as his favourite winger, ultimately picking Eden Hazard ahead of the Spurs star.

“Luis Diaz or Heung-Min Son?” Grealish was asked.

“Son,” Grealish said.

“Heung-Min Son or Franck Ribery?”

“Son,” Grealish replied.

“Heung-Min Son or Eden Hazard?”

“Hazard,” Grealish said.

Jack Grealish almost signed for Tottenham

It’s interesting to hear Grealish is such a fan of Son, because these two were very nearly teammates at Tottenham.

Indeed, Grealish almost signed for Spurs back in 2018, but a deal fell apart at the last minute.

Grealish would ultimately stay at Aston Villa, helping them to promotion and Premier League stability before getting a £100m move to Manchester City.

In another world, Grealish and Son would’ve been teammates at Spurs, and it would’ve been very interesting to see how these two would’ve interacted on the pitch in a Mauricio Pochettino team.

Grealish is a massive fan of Son, and, interestingly, this isn’t the first time the City winger has praised the Spurs star.

Grealish hailed Son for his crossing ability a few years ago, and he also stated that he’s a dangerous player on the break after facing him a couple of seasons ago.

Whether or not Son is better than Ribery or Diaz is up for debate, but it’s clear that Grealish is a massive fan of the Tottenham captain.
