Tottenham suffered a 4-3 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon and following that outcome in North London.
Ange Postecoglou’s side suffered another poor result against their London rivals Chelsea and having held a 2-0 advantage after 11 minutes, this would have left fans of Spurs fuming, especially when considering the start they have made to the 2024/25 campaign.
Tottenham currently sit 11th in the Premier League table with just six wins from 15 after Sunday’s defeat, which leaves the Australian coach with just one victory from his last seven.

Not only is the pressure piling on Postecoglou, but it’s also ramping up on another key man at Spurs – as pundit Jamie Carragher agrees.
Daniel Levy’s work at Tottenham is ‘done” admits Jamie Carragher
Speaking on Sky Sports after the full-time whistle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Carragher stated that after many years of improving the infrastructure at Spurs, it may be time for Levy to leave.
“It’s probably some time for somebody else to come in because to not win a trophy in that period of time, with the manager they’ve had,” the Sky Sports pundit said.
“They’ve never really got out of the way in the transfer market, they’ve spent decent money without, you know, blowing other teams out the water. The wage bill is always one of the smallest. And you’re never going to get the best players.
“So it might be a time for Daniel Levy – who I’ve been a supporter of because you look at the actual work that he’s doing – but now that work’s done, in terms of a stadium and a training ground, someone else needs to be in charge of this football club.”
Is it time for Daniel Levy to depart Tottenham?
Since taking up the role of Chairman at Tottenham in 2001, Spurs have won just one trophy, which came in the form of the League Cup back in 2008.
Although a new stadium and upgraded training facilities are great, silverware is ultimately what fans want to see after paying hundreds of pounds to watch their team play throughout a campaign.
The North London club have spent a lot of money trying to achieve that goal, breaking their transfer record with the £65m signing of Dominic Solanke this summer, but having failed to do so, it has seen them lose players such as Harry Kane and Gareth Bale over the years to bigger clubs in Europe.
Having done great work at Tottenham to take the club forward off the pitch, Carragher may be right in saying that they need someone else to progress further on it.
