‘Keen’: Fulham now want to sign Liverpool’s £25m player – journalist

Liverpool have a few young players who may be up for sale this summer as the Reds look to recoup a bit of cash.

Tyler Morton is said to be a target for RB Leipzig, Sepp van den Berg has been linked with a move away from Anfield, and now, Fabio Carvalho is said to be of interest to some clubs within the Premier League.

Carvalho is said to be valued by Liverpool at £25m, and according to The Mail’s Lewis Steele, speaking on the Born n Red Playback channel, Fulham are interested in the attacking midfielder.

Fulham interested in Liverpool’s Fabio Carvalho

Steele shared what he knows about Carvalho and Fulham’s interest.

“There are sales available. Off the top of my head, Tyler Morton, they want £20m for him, Sepp van den Berg, they want £20m for him, and then Fabio Carvalho. We know they’ve turned down £15m from Southampton – Leicester are keen, Fulham are keen, so they wouldn’t have any trouble selling him,” Steele said.

Fulham move makes sense

If Carvalho is to leave Liverpool this summer, there are few landing spots that make more sense than Fulham.

Carvalho already knows many of Fulham’s players from his last spell at Craven Cottage, while Marco Silva is the manager who got the best out of the youngster so far in his career.

Fulham, of course, aren’t averse to the idea of bringing their young stars back from big clubs.

Indeed, the Whites have already re-signed Ryan Sessegnon this summer, and there may be nothing Fulham would love more than to unite the dream academy duo of Sessegnon and Carvalho.

Who knows? Perhaps a move for former academy star, Matt O’Riley could be on the cards at some point too.

Fulham do have money to spend after receiving big fees for both Joao Palhinha and Aleksandar Mitrovic over the past 12 months, and perhaps they will use some of that cash to bring Carvalho back to west London this summer.
