Bryan King claims supporters must take action after ticket prices were increased at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The ex-Spurs scout doesn’t think things will change unless fans refuse to pay the prices being set by Daniel Levy.
The club confirmed via their official website (20 June) that individual ticket prices would be increasing ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has detailed what supporters in North London must do in response.
“I don’t think Levy has ever been bothered about upsetting supporters,” King said.
“The problem is for all the moaning and groaning, people still buy tickets. If they refuse to buy the tickets then maybe it will make an impact, but nobody is doing it.
“And if supporters continue to buy tickets, owners will continue to do what they want. I bet there is a waiting list for season tickets at Tottenham.
“The only way to stop these rises is for Spurs fans to say, ‘Enough is enough, we’re not prepared to renew.’ That would be a major blow for Levy.”
Daniel Levy continues to increase prices at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Spurs are perhaps arguably the most expensive team in the Premier League to support.
With some of the highest ticket prices in Europe, and the cost of their kit reaching ridiculous heights this season, it seems as if fans might need to start taking out loans just to support their team.
However, as long as the seats are being filled, prices will only continue to increase.
If supporters really want to influence change, then it is time for them to take matters into their own hands.
