King shares talk of Levy selling up at Tottenham as £3.75bn valuation news emerges

Bryan King has shared talk of Daniel Levy potentially fully selling up at Tottenham at one stage after fresh investment updates at the club.

It comes after it was shared that Spurs are seeking a minority investment that would value the entire club at £3.75billion [The Times], with Amanda Staveley mooted as an option after her Newcastle exit.

The ex-Spurs scout admitted that the main thing behind such a steep valuation is the stadium, with that still needing to be paid for.

“I think the main thing has been the stadium,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.

“That’s obviously put the price of Tottenham up, but that’s still got to be paid for, is that why he is looking for a minority share? There was talk about him selling the club at one stage, but that doesn’t look to have materialised.

The stadium is a great asset for London and Tottenham, but the one thing that is missing is silverware and I still think that must have an influence on anyone who is going to buy the club, are Tottenham going to win anything?

I can’t see them winning the Premier League, but again they can have a half-decent showing, but Spurs are a big club.

Levy runs the club well but it’s silverware, the fans want to see results on the pitch, I don’t think they worry too much, they just want to see a good game of football and silverware at the end of the season.”

Some sort of new investment or even a full takeover is bound to happen in the not-so-distant future.

Finance Expert Dan Plumley exclusively told Tottenham News on 9 June that a full takeover could be worth £3billion, so anything above that could be a great deal.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks, with silverware always the main goal ahead of any new season.

In other Tottenham news, a Premier League striker is keen on a move to the club.
