Leeds United fans were left furious with defender Pascal Struijk after he missed a penalty in their 1-0 win over Cardiff City on Saturday (September 21).
The 25-year-old had a golden opportunity to double their lead at the Cardiff City Stadium but the legs of Jak Alnwick, 31, denied him.
Thankfully for the centre-back Largie Ramazani’s 30th-minute strike and substitute Joel Piroe’s late finish were enough to secure all three points in a much-needed victory for Daniel Farke’s side.
The West Yorkshire side were able to put a frustrating 1-0 defeat to Burnley on matchday five to climb into the play-off positions.
Leeds fans can’t believe Pascal Struijk penalty miss
The Dutchman missed 27 games for Leeds United last season as they narrowly missed out on promotion back to the Premier League.
He has since played every Championship minute for the club so far this season but fans were still frustrated with him against Cardiff.
