Leeds fans: Patrick Bamford will never play for club again after what he did

Leeds United fans have lashed out at Patrick Bamford after his performance in the 3-0 defeat to Middlesbrough at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke’s side crashed out of the Carabao Cup in the first round after a heavy loss against a side who will be hoping to challenge them for promotion later this season.

However, the spotlight following the game was focused on Bamford’s display.

The striker failed to make an impact on the team yet again despite having been handed his first start of the season, replacing Mateo Joseph in the side.

Joseph’s strong pre-season form had led to an opening-day start in the 3-3 Championship draw with Portsmouth, but the boss opted to rotate slightly in the cup.

However, Leeds fans are now insisting Bamford should never play for the club again after yet another “embarrassing” display when leading the line.

This comes just days after Football Insider revealed that fans had been frustrated by the striker’s performance off the bench against Portsmouth.

The anger towards Bamford has only increased after he played 90 minutes in the 3-0 cup defeat, failed to hit the target with a single shot, won just one of six attempted duels, and completed just 11 passes.

Following the game, fans flocked to social media to express their anger at his performance, with many calling for him never to play for the club again.
