Leeds United fans rage as Manor Solomon footage re-analysed

Leeds United fans were left fuming with referee James Bell after he decided against awarding Manor Solomon a penalty in their game against Burnley on Saturday.

The 25-year-old received the ball on the edge of the box from Willy Gnonto before being brought down in the area by Burnley defender Joe Worrall.

Worrall clattered into the back of Solomon as the winger tried to dance around Burnley’s defenders but referee Bell decided against awarding a spot-kick.

Scott Parker’s side went on to win the game at Elland Road 1-0 thanks to a goal from young American winger Luca Koleosho.

Leeds United had 72 per cent possession but were unable to take their chances and now sit in eighth, just below the play-off spots after five Championship games.

Leeds United fans furious after Manor Solomon incident

Solomon joined on loan from Tottenham in the summer and has since started both of the games he has been available, providing an assist in Leeds’ 2-0 win over Hull City.

The Israel international couldn’t persuade the referee to award the penalty and Leeds Fans flocked to social media to share his frustrations.
