Of course, adding players as a newly promoted side is always a bit more difficult.
But according to journalist Alex Crook, the Foxes are not out of the fight just yet and could now make a move for one Arsenal outcast.
Leicester among teams looking to sign Reiss Nelson
According to TalkSPORT journalist Crook, a number of teams are trying to sign Reiss Nelson from Arsenal.
In a tweet on social media platform X, Crook has said that while Ipswich Town are favourites to get the deal for Nelson done, Leicester are still keen.
Indeed, the door is ajar as well for both Ipswich and Leicester after West Ham apparently pulled away from signing the Arsenal man.
Nelson leaving Arsenal comes as the Gunners close in on a deal to sign Raheem Sterling from Chelsea.
A deal is believed to be agreed between Sterling and Arsenal, with the formalities of the deal between the clubs just being put together.
Nelson needs out of Arsenal now
With round 70 minutes of the window remaining, Reiss Nelson now faces a frantic fight to save his career really.
He needs out of Arsenal ASAP and needs to go somewhere and play football.
Despite being lauded as a ‘special‘ talent at Arsenal, he has never quite made the grade and with Sterling coming along, the time is nigh to move on.
Both Leicester and Ipswich offer up good opportunities for Nelson here and either club will help him along.
