Lilywhite Rose 'Delighted' for 21y/o Tottenham loanee after what has happened recently

John Wenham is delighted to see Tottenham goalkeeper Josh Keeley starting games on loan at Leyton Orient.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose thinks the number one position is now Keeley’s to lose.

After a difficult start to the season, the 21-year-old has started Leyton Orient’s last three League One matches.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – expects to see the Spurs loanee continue starting for the London-based club.

“I’m delighted for Keeley,” Wenham said.

“He seems to have that number one position at Orient now and he kept a clean sheet recently, their first for a long time.

“It seems as though the position is now his to lose. Therefore, I fully back him to go on a run and continue starting matches.”

Ange Postecoglou will no doubt be interested to see how Keeley is progressing with Leyton Orient.

Although two of his three league starts were defeats, he also kept a clean sheet as Orient recorded a 1-0 League One victory over Rotherham at Brisbane Road on Saturday 19 October.

It was only their fourth clean sheet of the season, demonstarting how impressive Keeley’s impact was.

Although Guglielmo Vicario is the clear number-one choice at Spurs, there could soon be a battle for the number-two position.

While Fraser Forster has impressed recently, he isn’t getting any younger. Therefore, Postecoglou could soon be looking for a new deputy for Vicario, and Keeley could emerge as the perfect candidate.
