Lilywhite Rose moots PSG player stance on Tottenham transfer amid Sky Sports update

Paris Saint-Germain ace Randal Kolo Munai has been linked with a move to Tottenham in January.

As reported by Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg via his personal X account (25 December), Kolo Munai is set to leave PSG in January, with Tottenham interested in the forward and Ange Postecoglou expected to be backed in the upcoming transfer window [via Football London, 30 December].

Plettenberg writes that “concrete talks” have been held over a potential loan, with PSG thought to be willing to subsidise Kolo Munai’s wages to facilitate a move.

And Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – wants Spurs to sign the Frenchman, but recognises that the player might have different ideas.

“Absolutely Spurs should sign him,” Wenham said.

“However, I think from his point of view, he will probably wait a bit. He will want to see who is giving him and his agent the best deal and is unlikely to be in a big rush unless a club approaching him makes a very desirable offer.

“This is a player that I’d take in a heartbeat. If you look at our bench, he would absolutely improve it. Therefore, for me, this move is a no-brainer.”

Tottenham to sign PSG forward Randal Kolo Munai?

Kolo Munai would add some experience and quality to Spurs’ squad.

In fact, the 26-year-old would likely even push for a first-team place, especially considering the way some of the club’s forward players have been performing recently, with one player expected to have made his final appearance for the club.

However, agreeing a deal for Kolo Munai won’t be straightforward. A host of clubs are interested in the PSG man which means Postecoglou and Spurs will need to act fast.

However, should they miss out, they must still ensure someone else is signed as it is clear that Postecoglou needs reinforcements.
