Liverpool fans: Andy Robertson is 'finished' as 'disgraceful' footage analysed

Liverpool fans are insisting Andy Robertson is finished at the club after his performance in the Premier League clash v Southampton.

Arne Slot’s side staged a dramatic comeback victory, winning 3-2 at St Mary’s after Dominik Szoboszlai’s first-half strike was met with goals from Adam Armstrong and Mateus Fernandes, before Mohamed Salah scored a brace to snatch all three points.

However, it was the left-back’s performance that caught the eye of the travelling supporters, who were left raging after he gave away a penalty late in the first half to kickstart the Saints’ fight back.

As footage of his foul was shared on social media and analysed by supporters, many have called for him to lose his place in the team.

At 30 years old, Robertson has now been a regular in the Liverpool side for eight seasons following his move from Hull in 2017, but there is a growing feeling his time at Anfield could be coming to and end.

Under Slot’s management, there have already been questions about his role, with Kostas Tsimikas often chosen to replace his teammate.

Of his 16 appearances so far this season, the Scotland international has completed 90 minutes just six times, and fans are now calling for him to be left out on a more permanent basis.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 5 November that Liverpool are planning to open new contract talks with Robertson next summer, with less than two years remaining on his deal.

However, his performances so far this season have raised questions about his longevity in the starting XI, and fans have begun to call for his head.

Taking to social media during the defeat to Southampton, supporters expressed their frustration as he was labelled “embarrassing”, “disgraceful” and “a liability”.
