Liverpool fans were blown away by midfielder Ryan Gravenberch’s performance in their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday (October 5).

The 22-year-old has thrived under Arne Slot so far this season, with the new manager entrusting him with the keys to Liverpool’s midfield.

Gravernberch has played all but one Premier League minute in the Merseyside club’s opening seven Premier League games after being substituted in the 89th minute in their 2-0 win over Brentford.

The central midfielder finished the game having completed 72 out of 78 passes, giving him a pass accuracy of 92 percent, while also winning three ground duels and two aerial duels.

Defensively, Palace’s midfielders had no answer, as the Dutchman made two interceptions in a dominant performance in the heart of midfield.

In the end, Diogo Jota’s ninth-minute goal was enough to secure all three points at Selhurst Park, giving Liverpool a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

The club had been linked with a number six over the summer but Gravenberch has stepped up and filled the void expertly, becoming one of the most reliable midfielders in Europe.
